The event NEED MOISTURE was commissioned by BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art as part of the exhibition They Used to Call it the Moon in 2014. It first existed as a live screening event billed within the fiction of a conference day held by a fringe belief group at BALTIC39. The event was scored with a live sound commission from Tim Croft.
When They Used to Call it the Moon was restaged for its second iteration at BALTIC in Gateshead NEED MOISTURE was reimagined as the website www.needmoisture.com and represented in the exhibition by a water bottle bearing fictional conference branding and the site’s url.
