Kate Liston is an artist based in Gateshead, UK with a practice spanning moving image, installation and writing responding to sites, locations and their histories. She works across a number of collaborations as well as through solo practice. Her practice-led PhD (2017) explored knowledge as an embodied sensation through autotheory and performative writing. She works as an Assistant Professor in Fine Art at Northumbria University. 

Notable exhibitions include: Spar Box (solo exhibition, 2025), 36 Gallery, Newcastle upon Tyne; Town Hall Meeting of the Air, BALTIC39, Newcastle upon Tyne (collaborative exhibition, 2021); Oh-Link Zone, Black Tower Projects, London (group event and exhibition, 2018); Feel After the New See at Hatton Gallery (solo exhibition, 2018); The Scientific Method at The Tetley Gallery, Leeds (group exhibition, 2016); Feminism and the Body in Performance at MART Gallery, Dublin (group event, 2015).
